Who manages the facility and who guards the pool? Nassau has a full-time paid manager and assistant manager who are responsible for operation and daily maintenance. In addition, they supervise the seasonal employees such as the head lifeguard, lifeguards and concession stand employees. Fully trained and certified lifeguards are on duty at all times in the main pool. In the baby pool enclosure, parents must accompany and are responsible for supervising their children. Can I have a birthday party or family get-together there? Yes. The facility grounds are a great place for parties and picnics. The management asks for reasonable notice so that they may coordinate multiple requests and prepare the facilities accordingly. Please see the bottom section of the Events page for a list of scheduled parties. Guest rules and fees still apply but are typically discounted for parties. If you need a grill for your party, one will be provided free of charge. Whom may I contact if I have facility questions or comments? During the operating season, approximately May 24 to September 1, contact the pool Manager or Assistant Manager. During the off-season, contact the Facilities Chairperson.
