     Storm Policy

All pools and pool decks must be cleared at the sight or sound of lightning or thunder.  Patrons will be allowed to return to the pool decks after 30 minutes following the last sound of thunder or spotting of lighting.  These policies are based upon the suggestions of the NLSI.

If weather causes the facility to close, the manager will re-evaluate weather conditions at 4:00pm and may reopen if conditions are acceptable.

As the swim season continues, we will be encountering more and more thunderstorms.  We would like to remind all parents that the Nassau staff will not allow a child to bike home during a current or near-by thunderstorm.  A staff member will wait with the child until the storm passes or a parent or guardian comes to pick them up by car.  We will be more than happy to lock the bike within our gates to help prevent theft if the bike cannot be taken home.
